health insurance rocks
We've been getting quite a few bills these past few months. With the combination of my job changing, and at some point Anna used to use the insurance from her old job, we've had a few different insurance companies/IDs over the past few years. It has created a bit of a mess where some of the doctors/hospitals/etc have the old info. Normally, we just call the insurance company and they reprocess it. We have a couple little things that we need to pay, but nothing significant. Most of the bills we do see are for a couple hundred bucks or maybe a couple thousand. Well, we got the big one for the six week stay from the hospital.... the total is just about half-a-million bucks! Seriously, half-a-milly! Of which, we owe a grand total of $100... So, insurance rocks. If you don't have insurance, then go get some, because unfortunately you never know what's going to happen.
Anna had her checkup appointment today. All her numbers look great and the doctor is pleased with her progress. She's been feeling a bit crummy lately, but the doctor thinks its just everything catching up with her. Over the next five weeks she'll continue to go for her weekly checkup and then just take chemo pills at home. We're hoping she regains her appetite, as she really hasn't been eating all that much lately. She's lost a couple pounds over the last few weeks. She had a little bit of a fever on Sunday, but it stayed below 100, so we didn't need to make a trip to the hospital or anything.
My mom is down this week, which mean TJ gets to stay out here with us. We had fun with him yesterday watching the Super Bowl. I sure hope everyone saw my Steelers in the Super Bowl! Wooooo hoooooo! Couple weeks till pitchers and catchers.

In addition to having a
In addition to having a number of unintended consequences 70-236 exam, these two policies completely fail to recognize that the widespread use of insurance is part of what keeps health care costs increasing. Until we can separate health insurance from the issue of health care 642-825 exam, we can not really achieve the goal of making quality health care affordable for all Americans, which is one of very few of Obama's 220-602 exam goals with which I can agree.
rest up my friend
Hi there,
I'm not even touching the six-figure hospital bill - whew!
Anna, I'm thinking good healing thoughts and hoping for renewed appetite for you. Do you need a care package? What are you hungry for? Let us know. :)
We love you all!
