house is quiet (2nd post today)
Sometimes, I'll post more than once in a day... so try to check the dates on the posts. Likewise, I'll try to make mention of it in the subject. This one is the 2nd one today... just didnt want you to miss the info in the other one.
I forgot to mention in the earlier post that we had been waiting on the results of some other test related to chromosomes. She does not have the Philadelpia chromosome, which is actually good news in that it improves the favorability of the prognosis. I'm not really sure what the chromosome business is all about, as I wasnt there to ask the doctor questions but all I know is that its a good thing (yeah!).
I got back to the house a little while ago. Its quiet! The dog is up with his amigos. The kid is probably still up and running around over at grandmas and hopefully Anna is getting some rest. I guess I'll have a couple cold ones and watch a little UFC.

Good news
We were so happy to hear that Anna is lacking the Philly chromosone. We look forword to more great news ,even tiny bits are so welcome. You and Anna both need to rest when possible. We have the prayer department going strong.
Love,
Janet F.
Anna...
I'm SO happy to have read yesterday's update and see that there was good news to report. It's wonderful that you are taking yet another step in the right direction.
I continue to have you in my prayers and hope every day just continues to get better and better.
You are one tough cookie and it doesn't surprise me one bit that you are doing so great. :-)
I wanted to share with you that a few weeks ago i was going thru some old pictures and I actually came across one of me and you ....I believe it was in school....I'm gonna have to make you a copy and send it to you .....bring back some memories of our 'Academic Advising' days...LOL So continue to get better so that we can hook up again and create some more special memories....we'll have to go revisit Applebee's (did you know that you were the one that got me hooked to their Spinach and Artichoke dip??) or maybe Red Lobster (where we met again....remember how loud I yelled when I saw you?? LOL)
Pero mama....keep up with the good work and I will check up on you again tomorrow.
Besos y Abrazos...

Great News
Hi T
So glad to hear Anna is free and clear of the Philadelphia chromosome, she was telling me about it when I went to see her, it is pretty confusing.
Glad you are able to catch up on some rest T, I don't follow football but I know that is true relaxation for you. You are a really good person, keeping us inform and stuff.
Hi Mamasita,
So glad to hear you are eating!!! You have to let me know how the book is coming along!
Love ya
Tammi
Philly Chromosome
You know I had to look it up on Wikipedia but it was like reading Hieroglyphics. So, I still don't know what it is or what it means but it doesn't matter. I understand it's good she doesn't have it, so that's all I need to know about it.
I am happy to hear that Anna is feeling strong and hungry. A good appetite is always a healthy sign. Tell her that we'll try to bring some "habichuelas con dulce" when we visit. She doesn't have to worry about who's making it, she knows it won't be me. :-)
Tom, I'm glad to hear you're taking some time to rest, even if it is only for a few short hours.
Anna, keep shining and wowing these doctors and nurses. I want to keep keeping hearing all about it.
I can only imagine how difficult this is on you and your families. I know Anna is the one fighting the disease but I'm also familiar with the toll these things take on family members. So know that you're all on my mind and that I'm praying for strength and valor for all of you.
Lots of love,
Janet
Thanks T
Glad to hear things are going in the right direction.
Mamita Mamita you are doing great !!! The pictures of TJ are sooo CUTE! He has that little fire in his eyes ---- I know that look! Luv it !!! I told my boys what has happened and they remembered you right away (the nice girl from your job that gave us that really good chocolate). They send their love and wish you a speedy recovery. Keep eating the home cooking. If you want a cake like the one I made for you a long time ago that you like so much let me know. As long as it's ok with the DR. (cuz you so cute don't think you can get away with not listening to him) I'll make arrangements with T and we can sneak it in. You must know that once people realize that your room has the "good stuff" you will have to keep the deliveries on the DL!!!! If you are up to it maybe I can swing by this weekend if not, maybe I can meet Tom in the lobby to give him some books Carmen and I bought for you.
Take care Mamita-- you know that even if we do not talk everyday now as always you and the three T's are in my thoughts and prayers.
Un beso
Isa
Mucho Grastias (sp?)
Anna & Tom, Many thanks for all the updates. I'm glad to hear about the negative Philadelphia chromosome!! Since I really didn't know if Anna was able to eat and get around a little bit, to me that's really good news. I pray that the antibiotics get rid of that "fungus amungus"! Many good thoughts are sent your way along with much love, many prayers and blessings. Love, and May God be with You. "Keep The Faith"! Love Ya, Aunt Cheryl
no bad chromosome -- good deal
Hey Tom,
Thanks for the update on the chromosome or lack of it. Sheesh, they are naming the chromosomes after city's? egads. Well I am delighted that she doesn't have the bad one. I hope you were able to take a breath and rest yourself. thanks again for these updates. I appreciate them so much.
Much love and hugs to Anna -- thinking about you my sister!
Love,
stephanie
Awesome News!
Thanks for the news Tom!
Nena, hang in there you are doing a great job. Your strength and fearlessness is beyond admirable. Ann says hello and Izabellah keeps referring to you as her friend. Not sure how that came about, but in her three year old mind anything is possible. :)
I thought you guys were bringing Tino to my house. LOL! I kept reading and realized it was another Judy. LOL!
Remember you owe me visits and I have cheese cake for you.
Big hug!
XOXO
Judy
from kreddy ... don't expect this to be a short post
Ok..take 2! I just wrote this whole awesome note and my computer decided to be an asshole and lose it. So now I'm starting this again...
So I just got an email from Tom. In short, this sucks ass!
Anna, I think you know that I have done a lot of work with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I have been fundraising them since 2006 by walks, a few marathons (running my 4th in NYC in Nov) and triathlons. So, in some respect I feel like I'm helping in some small way. Because you definitely don't want me being your nurse, since you'll likely end up with your IV administered into your toenail. While I am training you will be my source of inspiration because no matter how much doing a 18 mile long run hurts -- chemo sucks a hella lot more.
My cousin Britt-Marie (Reddy) Cables is an ALL and T-Cell lymphoma survivor. When I was reading all of Tom's blog posts a lot of what you are going through sounds familiar especially with the port and spinal stuff. If you want someone to talk to about what you are going through who has gone through all the chemo crap, the steroids (which by the way Tom might make her cranky, I'm just telling you to make sure you don't anger her and are in arms distance of her), and all the other things you are dealing with, she's your woman to talk to. She is also a nurse, so you can get a perspective from a personal blood cancer experience and medical. She's my best friend, she's a Reddy (can't get better than that), and she's basically a blonde version of me (i.e. - nutty).
You are a strong woman Anna. In fact, when I think of a woman who doesn't take any malaca from anyone or anything...it's you. So I am expecting for you to kick ass! In fact, the leukemia will proably run from you screaming like a girly man to escape your Latina wrath.
I was thinking of you last weekend because I was pretty sure it was your birthday. 32 huh? That's pretty freaking old. We'll just forget the fact that I am (cough cough) 37 (I scream in horror). Also I though of you while watching the MTV Video Music Awards -- yeah, I watched it, I hate to admit that only because (and I hate to admit this too) that Britney Spears was opening it. But she really didn't, it was Rhianna. And she's way cooler, looked awesome, and looked as if she was ready to kick ass and take names while she sang "Disturbia." So, I though then hey she's reminds me of Anna. And since now Tom said you got your hair cut short, you and Rhianna both might have a similiar haircut. (Hopefully you don't hate Rhianna and find me an arse for making any such comparisons).
So there you go for now. You know my prayers and thoughts are with you and TJ and Tom. I love you all and it pains me to see friends and good people go through shit (there's no better word for it) like this.
Let me know when I can come visit you chica!
Love
Kathleen
ps - kreddy knows a little html action, oh yeah.
