little better, tj's on the move, big day tomorrow...
The pain was still present, but she felt a little better today than yesterday. She hasn't had much of an appetite the last couple days. No other medical update today. It's quiet around here on the weekends, so at this point its just rest and then pain and other meds, along with an occasional check of the blood pressure, temperature, heart rate and blood sugar levels.
I spent a little time at home this morning trying to get things ready for her to come home. I'm pretty excited about it, but we don't want to rush things. Obviously, it's more important to wait until the right time to make the switch home.
My parent's went home today. Thanks again Mom and Dad for everything. My parents have really enjoyed their time with him, and it's been great to watch TJ get closer to them. Anna's parents took over today and the took TJ into Manhattan with them. The house is quiet, so I'm staying over at the hospital tonight. Trying to get settled into the little recliner that I have over here and get a little sleep.
Tomorrow (Sunday Oct 5th) is our 6th anniversary. Pretty special. Still can't believe it's been 6 years already.

Happy Anniversary
Hi Tom & Anna
Hope you are feeling better today Anna and the pain is not bad. Today (Sat Oct 4th) I ran a Half Marathon in Payson AZ. It was nearly all up hill. They said it would be challenging and noted 2 hills. They freaken lied! The 13 miles wasn't nearly as bad as the 10 miles of running up hill (had to walk some of it, honestly it was faster). LIARS!! My butt hurt, my quads hurt, my ankles, everything. And it's going to feel even better tomorrow... I just want you to know that I just kept throwing one leg in front of the other thinking of you. You are an inspiration. The strength that you have to deal with all the pain, and emotion, the mental fortitude, is nothing compared to 13 miles of hills (Big LIARS! Still not over it). So stay strong. We are all thinking of you with positive thoughts and our prayers are with you and your family.
Now, Happy Anniversary.. You are beautiful people that together as a couple, magnifies your wonderful qualities. You are going through a very difficult, challenging time. It will bring you closer and strengthen your relationship. When I read the blogs and know what is going on, I am just struck by the love you have for each other. It is very special.
I hope all works out so that you can go home Anna. Even though you have around the clock care, the house isn't a home without you (TOM makes tons of comments how the house is so quiet & empty). I think it will make you feel better and bring you comfort being in your home, a familiar surrounding. So I pray that you pass with flying colors. Good luck! You can do it!!
Ps- I am running the NYC Marathon (remember I said I will be in NYC at the end of October). Don't ask me why, I am trying not to think about. ANd yes, I know it's 26 miles (KReddy will correct me and say it's 26.2mile... gee thanks). Anyway, I am meeting up with KReddy and running with her, hopefully.
All the best, lov ya
Ursula
