back to the grind....

Was it just me or was it extra tough to get out of bed on Monday morning? I could sure get used to the 4 day weekend concept.

Anna had treatment again on Monday. Her hemoglobin counts were low again, so she's scheduled for another transfusion on Thursday.... then a round of chemo on Friday. The low hemoglobin is just a side effect of the chemo treatment and is to be expected. This is just something she'll need to deal with as she continues with chemo. Her and TJ are in the city this week with her parents. I stopped by tonight to see everyone and then I'll be back at home for the rest of the week. In addition to Twinkle twinkle, TJ is singing a few Spanish songs as well. It's really amazing to me how good his English and Spanish is these days. It's definitely well beyond knowledge of a few words and well into being able to communicate effectively.

Big thanks to everyone that is still actively reading (and occasionally commenting). Stephanie H definitely gets the gold star for most active commenter.

Back to the grind indeed, again!

Hey guys,
I have been remiss in following the activity, so I thought it was about time that I get back into it. I finished some reviews and other work-work this weekend, amongst other things. Anna and I did exchange text messages yesterday so that was great. In any even, hard to believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone already, and tomorrow is ANOTHER Monday. Wasn't there a song; Monday Monday?? Unbelievable how fast time really does fly. So great to read how TJ is such a linguist; that will come in handy as he grows..

Hope you are feeling better this week, and have an easier time with your treatments. We love you guys,
Ira and Chris

Hi Guys!

Just want to say thanks for the continued updates. I check every other day or so, but just haven't sat still to write a note back. Really is great to hear of the progress, the family info (& pix too!) and get clued into to how Ms. Anna is really feeling. I'm sure the visits back to the hospital will always bring mixed emotions along with them, but think of how far you've come! You remain a trooper and a true inspiration to us all! Go for the Chanel specs missy... you definitely NEEEED them! Glad to hear Tino's settled in now too. I'm sure he's missed in the Gaffney household, but think of the joy he's brought to his new fam!!!! Again, thanks for the postings. Remember Ts and Ps continue to be sent along... just because you don't see comments, doesn't mean we're not thinking of you. And you're so right... we have so much to be thankful for!!! All the best, s

that's why I took Monday off!

Hey Tom,
Yeah, I couldn't imagine having to go in to work on Monday so I took that day off too. Of course, that made Tuesday a bear, but just knowing that the week was shorter, well, that certainly makes all the difference. I really appreciate your efforts to keep us posted on how you are all doing -- so thanks.
At least you were just exhausted on Monday, and not suffering from an accidental gun shot wound like Plaxico Burress!! What's up with that?!!! People are crazy. Is all I'm saying. LOL!

Anna, rest when you need to, eat when you're hungry, dream deeply and have healthy, healing thoughts. I am keeping the faith and sending the prayers. Have a good rest of the week. If you need anything don't hesitate to let us know.
Hugs,
Stephanie

PS Three cheers for a bilingual TJ!!
