Chemo, round 4

Today was another day of chemo. The very first day was 3 doses, then both times last week it was 1 dose and today it was 2 doses. I actually have a schedule somewhere, but just cant find it at the moment. I guess the schedule probably isn't all that important. The important thing is that today was a chemo day and she did great! After chemo she tends to have a lot more energy. After getting chemo, she wound up cleaning her room, cleaned the fridge and walked quite a bit. This evening, she is bouncing off the walls and is a bit extra chatty. Hopefully, she'll figure out how to get some sleep at some point. In general, sleeping is a bit sporadic in that she'll go to sleep a little early but then be up around 3am and have to do a few laps around the floor and out to the nurse's station to say hello. I don't think its a problem, as she does tend to nap during the day so she does get her sleep - it's just not all at one time.

All in all, things are good. She's feeling great and her spirits are high.

I was able to hang out with TJ for a couple of hours this evening. He is so much fun, but a bit cranky at times. When I'm not there, he is perfectly fine with Anna's grandmother but as soon as I'm there, its all about Daaa-ddy!. In many ways, it is such a nice feeling but it does make leaving the house much more difficult. We played for a while in the backyard... played a little baseball, basketball, soccer, and bubbles but mostly he just chased me around. For a while now, if you try to give him food or milk or ask him to do anything he doesn't want, he'll respond back with "dooon-waaaaaanit", and now just in case you don't understand English, he'll follow up with a "no quieeeeere" (spanish for don't want it). He's a trip. It's pretty cute but does get tiring when the two year old is so demanding!

She wanted to thank the Witt family for the card, and everyone else for the comments, text messages, etc.

Go ahead TJ!

He's going to make sure he gets his point across. I like that.

I'm happy to hear Anna is responding well to the therapy and making her rounds when she can. You sound in good spirits as well Tom. I'm sure that hanging out with TJ is both rejuvenating & tiring in that weird way a child you love to pieces can make you feel.

Anna Banana, luv ya mama...keep your head up!

Told you I saw the fire in TJ's eyes...............

It is great to hear that they got the magic potion measured correctly and Mamita Mamita is her wonderful self. I would cut out the " she is extra chatty" remarks T---- Looks like she can take you at this point LOL. Mamita, hope you got enough stuff to keep you occupied. What's up with hanging out at 3 am---- have you been taking that chemo with a cookie chaser! HELLO ;)
I am glad to hear TJ is doing well . If you think a 2 year old is so demanding just wait----- Dude you just got on the ride and it is going to be wild and amazing. Just to give you guys a heads up, his bilingual responses will be the same into his teen years. You pretty much described my sons now 12 and 14. Also, be on the look out for using Spanish to get out of doing stuff in preschool--- a family tradition in my house.
Take care Guys chat soon.
Big Hug
