3 days off, and something I've been putting off for a while....
She went in today for a mid-day appointment, which was a quick chemo shot. She did great. I think it was probably less than 10 minutes once they actually brought her into the room. We all went over today. Anna, TJ, my mom and me. TJ recently had his 2-year old checkup and as part of the routine, they require blood work. So, when Anna was going in for the chemo, TJ and I went to a different section of the hospital to have blood drawn. I wasn't so sure what to expect, but he did fine. He sat on my lap while one nurse held his arm and the other one drew his blood. They filled up a little vile and it went pretty quick. He was a little uncomfortable when they put the needle in, but once the blood started flowing he was more curious than anything. We counted to 10 and sang the ABC song, and then we were done. Just so no one worries... this is a totally normal thing that they order for all 2 year olds and has nothing to do with what Anna is going through. They would have ordered this regardless. She's done with chemo until Monday, so hopefully she'll have a chance to relax and get some sleep. She's been eating great and feels pretty good these days.
As most of you know, Tino (our 6 year old german shepherd) has been an important part of our family. We need to put him up for adoption. He's been staying with our old dog walker for the last 5 weeks or so, which has been great. But, we need to do something more permanent. With all of Anna's appointments and additional care, plus TJ, plus my work schedule, we think the best solution is to find a nice place for Tino to go live. He's used to having a back yard and is definitely not meant for city living at this point. He's definitely high energy. He's been great with TJ from day one, but should be eased into any situation with kids. He's about 95 pounds, so definitely not a lap dog but like to hug up on the couch or bed, if you invite him. He is 100% german shepherd (I have papers), he's neutered, and he's in good health. He does have some allergies, so in the Spring he gets a little extra itchy. He's a bit of a PITA, but he's adorable and very lovable. Please email me tom@gaff.net if you are interested in more information or know someone who might be. I appreciate your help on this one.

Is a part of your family. How difficult this must be for you guys. I don't envy this predicament. Have you asked HIM how he feels about all this? Maybe HE doesn't want to move. Maybe HE wants to work it all out . Ah well, I know that you will all make the right decision, just have a serious family discussion so that you can all hear what HE has to say about this. Seriously, no pressure from us, who the HECK are we? You guys have the tough decisions to make. We know you will come to the right decision.

Hi guys!
I wish I could adopt him. I know how much he means to you guys, but I live in an apartment and they have a no pet(s) policy. Tino is also taller than I am so I don't think it would work. LOL! I hope you guys find a nice home for him.
Enjoy your weekend! Nena, get lots of rest. :)
XOXO,
Judy
