TJ goes to Manhattan... and a few birthday shout outs

Quick happy birthday shout outs to our dear friends Mario and Tamieka (both loyal readers of the blog and contributors). She sends all her love and blessings....

It was a good day back in the Oncology ward. Despite the fact that the ICU isn't really a pleasant place, it was definitely the right place to be for a couple of days. Her temp and heart rate have remained normal. Her liver functions are getting back pretty close to where they were prior to the start of chemo. We're still on hold for additional chemo... though we are likely to pick things back up on Monday. As per the chemo schedule, this next round is a smaller dose than the first so we're optimistic that she'll have fewer side effects than she did the first time.

My parents were here last week to help out and this week TJ is heading into Manhattan to stay with her parents for a few days. They're both back to work, but with some help from anna's grandma and a few others, he'll be well cared for. I'm sure he'll come back hablando mas espanol. Last week, he was teaching my parents sientate (sit), carge (carry me), abre (open), zapatos (shoes), and a few others.

She received a ton of cards (note: even with the room change, she did receive all of the cards). Thank you everyone. While I am thinking of it, please do not send any more flowers. They are starting to really tighten up her restrictions over concerns about infections.

Appreciate all the additional activity yesterday with the birthday well wishes. Please keep it up.....

It seems to me she carefully

It seems to me she carefully chose her outfit for the day- one very glittery piece 70-271 braindumps, some darker tones, black leggings, and then the bag balances the shines and the darks. But then something happened with the shoes! 642-426 braindumps I think the lower waistline makes her legs look a bit shorter 642-373 braindumps, and she would have had to counter this with high heels. Heck, what do I know? I like the look other than the shoes. Jorge from West Palm Beach

Relieved!!!!

I'm so happy to know you're out of ICU Anna. Woo hoo, God is sooooo good! Thank you for the birthday wishes.

Good luck with your second round of chemo. I hope to see you soon.

Mieka

P.S. My mom wants to learn how to blog so she can send you and Tom words of encouragement. You may see a message from her some time this week. But I'm sure I will need to give her 50 tutorials first. ;)

HAPPY SUNDAY!

Glad to hear you are back to a 'normal' room. Not only does it mean you're doing better, but hopefully you're not being poked and prodded as much. Thank goodness you have such a wonderful support system with the families (sort of!) nearby. While they probably have such mixed emotions about needing to care for TJ now, I'm sure they're enjoying every minute and he's keeping them in smiles too. Not to mention it has to put your mind at ease, knowing that he is in good hands. Yes, more prayers being sent your way (you can never get enough, right?!!). You're on our parish's prayer list, so the prayer chain is guaranteed to strengthen! Here's to a better week!

Take care,
Shannon & fam

Yay!!!

So happy to hear you're out of the ICU, Ms Anna Banana.

Yesterday was my sister's birthday as well and she wanted me to give you a shout out. Now that I realize you two were born a day apart, it all makes so much sense. You Virgos are a trip! I will say that.

Tom, thank you for this blog and you're thoughtfulness in giving us all the ability to check in and say hi. Stay strong and keep the faith.

Happy to hear about TJ and his bilingual abilities, it will serve him tremendously throughout his life. Unfortunately, my spanish is mostly limited to the bad words :-(

All the best,

Nik

Birthday

Hey, guys. Had a pretty good birthday today. Got lots of clothes, which I need. Would've been better if I could've heard Anna's voice. I'm glad she's doing better and I'm hoping this next bout of chemo won't be as harsh. Thinking about you guys all the time.

Love,

Mario
