all work and no play....

It's going to be a short post tonight as I'm up to my eye balls with work. We're approaching 10:30pm and I still need to get home, then have a bunch of work ahead of me before I can even think about getting some sleep. Enough about me already..... there are more important things to talk about.

I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but she is doing great today. She walked quite a bit, ate like a champ and was pretty feisty. I got scolded for something, and it wasn't just the normal (occasional) crankiness. Based on the way it sounds, she spent quite a bit of time on the phone and texting but at this point, I can tell she's a little tired from all the activity. The communications cut into her nap today, so she didn't get her normal daytime rest. I'll get our of here soon, so she can get some sleep tonight.

No chemo today. We pick that up again on Thursday (again, that's just the schedule... some days she gets it and other days she does not).

She wanted to thank Lucy and Ralph for sending a card today, and everyone else for the comments/text messages/etc.

Yanks were officially eliminated from the playoffs... we're actually fighting for 3rd place. Sad day.

Chemo, round 4

Today was another day of chemo. The very first day was 3 doses, then both times last week it was 1 dose and today it was 2 doses. I actually have a schedule somewhere, but just cant find it at the moment. I guess the schedule probably isn't all that important. The important thing is that today was a chemo day and she did great! After chemo she tends to have a lot more energy. After getting chemo, she wound up cleaning her room, cleaned the fridge and walked quite a bit. This evening, she is bouncing off the walls and is a bit extra chatty. Hopefully, she'll figure out how to get some sleep at some point. In general, sleeping is a bit sporadic in that she'll go to sleep a little early but then be up around 3am and have to do a few laps around the floor and out to the nurse's station to say hello. I don't think its a problem, as she does tend to nap during the day so she does get her sleep - it's just not all at one time.

Yankee Stadium, Ryder Cup, Football, and Anna, too

Anna's doing well. Feeling pretty good today and another day with a good appetite. No chemo treatments today. I think we pick that up tomorrow. Quick thank yous to Arnie and Beverly for the get well card. Also, thanks to Isabel and Carmen for the care package.

Great sports day today.... I watched a bunch of the Ryder Cup this weekend and the Americans pulled this one off. Great tournament and it was a lot more exciting for me than in previous years. Good football day so far, but as of the time of this post the Steelers are losing... hopefully, that'll turn around. ESPN has already started their coverage from Yankee Stadium and it's been pretty awesome. It's going to be a short post, as things at the hospital today are pretty boring (boring = good, when you are in the hospital). ESPN was just reviewing a few of the greatest moments of all time at Yankee Stadium. Keeping with the theme, here are my three of my personal favorites:
